The first-ever Julefest, or Pasko Fiesta, in Halden was a remarkable success, made possible through the cooperation of Sparebank1 Stiftelsen, the participation of the Philippine Embassy in Norway, and the dedication of everyone behind the scenes. This event brought Filipinos together to celebrate Christmas, creating a ‘home away from home’ experience. It was a joyful gathering to embrace the spirit of the season and celebrate the warmth and togetherness of Christmas.
In relation to the 75th Anniversary of Bilateral Relations between Philippines and Norway, our esteemed Philippine Ambassador Enrico T. Fos visited Halden Municipality to meet the functional Deputy Mayor Linn Laupsa, and proceeded to the meet and greet with the Filipino Community later that day.

Bangon Bohol 2021
On the 28th of December 2021, the city of Bohol was severely affected by Typhoon Odette, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake. In response to this devastating event, our community has come together to organize a charity event aimed at providing assistance to our fellow Filipinos who have been affected by the typhoon.
The primary objective of this event is to extend our support and lend a helping hand to those who are in desperate need of assistance. Through the collective efforts of our dedicated group and the generous contributions from our sponsors, we have managed to gather various basic necessities that will be donated to our co-Filipinos affected by Typhoon Odette.
In conclusion, the charity event organized in Bohol is a testament to the resilience and compassion of our community. By coming together and lending a helping hand to those in need, we are demonstrating the true spirit of humanity. As we extend our support and provide the basic necessities, let us remember that together, we are stronger, and together, we can make a difference in the lives of our co-Filipinos affected by Typhoons.
Damayan Project
In a world that often feels disconnected and fragmented, the Damayan Project leaded by Edeline seeks to bring back the essence of empathy and community support. Stemming from the Filipino word "damayan," which means "to help each other," this initiative aims to extend a helping hand and provide a much-needed support system for those facing difficult times.
One of the core focuses of the Damayan is to address the challenges faced by individuals who have a relative battling illness or who have recently lost a loved one. In such distressing moments, the whole community rallies together to show their heartfelt sympathy and stand by the bereaved family.
Traditionally, neighbors, friends, and relatives of the deceased join forces to offer tangible support, whether it be contributing a certain amount of money or providing essential services. This collective effort not only eases the strain on the grieving family but also demonstrates the spirit of togetherness and compassion deeply rooted in Filipino culture.
We recognizes that this compassionate support system has gradually diminished over time, which inspired us to revive it. By reigniting the Filipino spirit of helping one another, the initiative aims to foster a more connected and caring society.Our vision goes beyond monetary assistance or practical aid.The Damayan Project seeks to create a network of emotional support and understanding, recognizing the immeasurable value of human connection during times of loss and hardship. Through acts of kindness, empathy, and companionship, this project aims to offer solace and remind individuals that they are not alone in their struggles.
